Mace

Our Single Origin 2021 harvest sun dried Mace comes from our partner farm of Panyeeram, yes you guessed it, the same farm from where we get our Nutmeg from. Mace, which also comes from the nutmeg tree, is the lacy coating that envelopes the nutmeg kernel. When sun dried, the yellowish-brown mace is super fragrant with notes of black pepper and cinnamon. You can add our Roots Mace to your favorite carrot cake or an afternoon apple or pumpkin crumble pie or you can use it to flavor savory dishes like in slow and low braised meat.
