Our Single Origin 2021 harvest cloves come from our partner farm in Kerala over the western ghats, where Ramesh grows this heirloom variety on his small farm. Cloves are flower buds that are picked from the trees before they bloom and are dried in the sun. The clove variety grown by Ramesh is potent with a strong intensity and a rich aftertaste of black pepper and ginger. Brought to you in a brass container, Roots Cloves will bring a powerful blend of sweet and astringent/sharp flavor to your sweet and savory dishes.
